On August 1st, we released our newest app for our SimplyTheBest Streaming service. This new app removes almost 98% of the buffering issues and has a much friendlier user interface. Due to the massive upgrade of the new app we strongly urges everyone to update to our new app.
In addition to the buffer handling, we have added a lot of the requested features that many of you have requested over the years. Here is just a small list of the feature upgrades:
- Interactive real-time TV guide; this can be seen now when you are looking at the live channels.
- Live program recording; If your device has enough available storage space, you can now record directly from within our app and no longer need another app.
- Move Categories: You can now move a category near the top of your list so you can access it faster.
And so much more.
To make the process as smooth as possible, here is a quick summary of the steps to follow:
1) Open Downloader: Launch the Downloader app on your device (and update it if prompted).
2) Use the Code: Type 8890545 into the URL/Short Code bar.
3) Install & Open: Follow the prompts to install, then select Open with credentials.
4) Log in: Use your full name (lowercase, no spaces) as the username and your full phone number (digits only) as the password. (if you have trouble, open a support ticket for us to verify your credentials)
5) Permissions: This is the tricky part — be sure to click the second "Grant" first to allow 3rd party apps, find "Simply the Best" in the list to toggle it on, and then go back to do the first "Grant" for the overlay permission.
6) Start Streaming: Select MAIN on the "Who's watching" screen.
You are now in the new app, and it is ready for you to use.
